My wife (of 39 years) Ann and I reside in New Albany, a suburb of Columbus, Ohio, having moved here in 1984. We've lived here, and love it, ever since -- except for 1996-2000 when I was transferred back to Roanoke, Virginia, where we lived from 1980-84.
We have two wonderful children, Kellam (named for my paternal grandmother), who is a poet and works for the Middlebury College library in Vermont, and Bennett (Ann's maiden name), who is a playwright and actor in Indianapolis and works for the Indiana Historical Society.
I worked for American Electric Power, a large utility holding company, for 26 years, retiring in late 2005. I did all manner of communications, news media relations, event planning and public relations. Since then, I worked for the Columbus College of Art & Design and 2010 Census. Since March 2011 I have worked for the Trader Joe's store at Easton Town Center in Columbus. Great company to work for. Drop in and look me up if you're in Columbus.
